St Mary's is pleased to present Annette Lampson, sorprano, and Douglas Hensley, guitar in concert as part of the Catherine Young Summer Concert series.
Annette Lampson studied Voice and Choral Conducting full time at the Anthroposophical music college, Alfred Schnittke Institute in Hamburg, Germany. She also has a diploma in Therapeutic Singing. She has taught voice and music to individuals of all ages and abilities, and directed children, youth and adult choirs that include the Sunrise Waldorf School and Island Oak High School Choirs. She has taught Voice and Choir at the WCI since 1998 and founded and currently directs the (adult) Jubilate Choir and the Glenora Farm Bell Choir for adults with developmental disabilities.
Douglas Hensley received his training in classical guitar at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Since moving to Victoria in 1995, he has been very active and performing and teaching various instruments, including renaissance lute and classical Persian instruments, and is on the faculty of the Victoria Conservatory of Music. Annette and Doug have worked together on numerous programmes over the last 10 years.
