Amiel Elfert, organist
NOTE: This is an in-person concert as well as live streamed.
Amiel Elfert is a young Canadian organist based in Victoria, BC. He is currently working towards his BMus degree at the University of Victoria, where he studies in the Organ Performance program with Dr. Mark McDonald. Notably, this makes him the first Organ student at UVic in over twenty years.
Amiel currently serves as Organ Scholar of Christ Church Cathedral, Victoria, where he works with the Choristers and Adult choirs and plays the Hellmuth Wolff Organ. As well, he is also frequently a substitute organist at churches in Greater Victoria.
As a recitalist, he regularly appears in concert in the United States and Canada. He is an active member of both the Royal Canadian College of Organists and the American Guild of Organists.
While not pursuing his musical interests, Amiel enjoys going for walks, reading, and practicing the ancient English art of Change Ringing.
