Traditionally Shrove Tuesday is the last day before the reflective fast of Lent, so is a good time to use up some of the unctuous foodstuffs that some of us won't see until Easter. As if we need an excuse to party with our friends and neighbours at St Matthias!
Come join us for an evening of food and fun, including some folk dancing called by the Odd Hack Band!
The evening begins at 5:30pm with the burning of last year’s Palm Sunday palm leaves, to form the ashes for tomorrow’s Ash Wednesday worship services. Food is served starting 6:00pm.
