On March 16, 2020, the Bishop closed all church buildings to the public, in order to join with all British Columbians in fighting the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

However, St Mary’s is still part of the Oak Bay community, and we continue to pray for all who are affected by this crisis: those who are ill, those valiant front-line workers in health and essential services, those whose economic security has been up-ended by this emergency, and those whose loneliness is only amplified by our physical distancing efforts.
