St Mary’s presents... a new recital series

St Mary’s is excited to launch a new recital series in support of new and emerging musicians in Victoria and beyond! The parish of St Mary the Virgin, in Oak Bay, has a long history of supporting the arts, and particularly music. For the past decade, two annual concert series (during the Christian seasons of Advent and Lent) bring various performers together in support of local charities. Students from the Canadian College of Performing Arts support the St Mary’s choir as Choral Scholars each year.

Now we are pleased to extend our support of other students and new performers as part of the St Mary’s presents... series of concerts and recitals. Admission is by donation, with proceeds in support of the performers as well as further music and arts events at St Mary’s, offered to the community as a whole.

Join us for the inaugural recital, featuring pianist Jorge Carrizales performing the works of Astor Piazzolla, Julio Ituarte, Arturo Márquez, and more: Sunday, February 2, 2:00pm @ St Mary’s.
