St Mary's receives grant for new 'Centre for Community' trial

St Mary’s are excited to announce that we have been granted matching funding from our Diocese of British Columbia Vision Fund, in order to develop a new effort to serve our community.

Our project, The St Mary’s Centre for Community, will aim to put our faith into action by seeking to strengthen community within our immediate neighbourhood, our municipality, Oak Bay, and the wider community. The Centre will offer a safe space to share life together, and experiences that will develop personal skills within a community context.

This initiative has grown from the experiences and neighbourhood friendships we have encountered through our Churchmouse Bookshop and the After Hours Coffeehouse. Stay tuned for further information on our initial Centre for Community offering, 'After Hours Arts' (May-June 2018).
