Summer Splash Book Festival article in the Oak Bay News
The Oak Bay News has published a great article covering the upcoming Summer Splash Book Festival here at St Mary's on July 15, 9 am - 3 pm. Offering thousands of books in exchange for donations in support of some local charity efforts, this year's book fest will include some great local-community-based entertainment from storyteller Anne Glover and singer-songwriter Steph Khoury, plus some great storys read by local poet Anita Lahey. Combined with great refreshments from grill and kitchen, in the words of reporter Octavian Lacatusu:
... the event will cover all senses, with sound, imagery, and good old fashioned reading from what is one of the best-preserved book collections in the Greater Victoria Region.
