The Reverend Dyan Davison was born and raised in Toronto. She moved west to attend law school, obtaining her Juris Doctorate at UBC in 1991 after receiving her BA in psychology from York University. She articled in Vancouver and was called to the bar in 1993. Since 1996 she has been in private practice specializing in family law, child apprehension, family mediation, and civil litigation for sexual assault and abuse. Dyan is also a designated Children's Lawyer (able to act for the interests of underage children without the presence of parents or guardians).
Dyan has been attending the Vancouver School of Theology since 2015 in the Masters of Divinity program. While working on her studies she was also going through the discernment process - which continues to this day. Dyan Was ordained deacon in June 2018 and ordained priest in November 2019.
Dyan is also the Canon Pastor for the Diocese of British Columbia.
