Following 33 years of service in the Canadian Forces, Father John was ordained to the Priesthood on the Feast of St John the Baptist, June 24, 2001. He served his Curacy in St Andrew’s Parish, Sidney, then as Vicar of the Parishes of St Peter and Good Shepherd, Pender Island and St Christopher’s, Saturna. Following nearly eight years as the Rector of St Peter’s, Lakehill, Father John was placed as the Incumbent of St Mary the Virgin in 2009. Following retirement in 2012, he served for another year at St Mary of the Incarnation, Metchosin, and Holy Trinity, Sooke, as the mentor to their Incumbent. Three years later, he and Judy settled into St Mary’s as parishioners. They have three children and three grandchildren.
